Most of the guidelines will remain the same as we move into the Green Phase of reopening. Specific points are listed below. Please read the entire document. Thank you!
GENERAL POINTS
- The obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation continues to be lifted during the Green Phase. You are not required to attend Mass at this time. Archbishop Perez has stated that he will give a few weeks notice before returning to a normal Sunday obligation.
- While the obligation to attend Mass has been dispensed, a good faith effort should be made to keep holy the Lord’s Day through prayer and participation in a live streamed Mass.
- Please stay home if you are sick or do not feel comfortable attending Mass at this time.
- Please stay home if you are at higher risk of severe illness with COVID19. If you are uncertain about your risk status, please consult your doctor and also the CDC Guidelines at the link below.
- Click here to read the CDC Guidelines for those at higher risk:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/need-extra-precautions/people-at-higher-risk.html - Mass will continue to be available via livestream on our website, YouTube channel, and Facebook page.

- The congregation is reminded that singing should be kept to a minimum and at a low volume to reduce the possible spread of aerosolized particles.
- Please note: the 7:30 a.m. Mass has been very close to reaching our maximum capacity. If capacity is reached, you will be asked to wait outside. A Eucharistic Minister will bring Holy Communion outside to you during the Communion Rite. Please consider attending the 11:30 a.m. Mass if that is possible.

Thank you for continuing to live stream the Sunday Mass. If I understand the archdiocesan guidelines as published (which is what Queen is doing) the guidelines state that the Eucharistic ministers are not wearing masks. I know that in some neighboring parishes the Eucharistic ministers are wearing masks to distribute communion. Can you please let me know whether or not masks are being worn by Queen’s Eucharistic ministers. I believe that, for everyone’s safety, the Eucharistic ministers and the communicants, the Eucharistic ministers should be wearing a mask. They are close to each other’s faces and are not six feet apart. Thank you for your consideration.
Hi Mary Frances, I apologize for the delay. It is our understanding that Eucharistic Ministers may not have their masks on while distributing Holy Communion. If you would like further clarification, please call the Office of Divine Worship at 215-587-3537. Thank you!
